Your role

As a Group Airline Ticketing Specialist (Athen’s branch) at our dynamic travel agency, you will play a key role in facilitating seamless travel experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in airline ticketing, with a strong command of at least one Airline Reservation Distribution System (Sabre or Amadeus).

This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a customer-centric approach, ensuring the smooth coordination of group travel arrangements.

Your Responsibilities

• Expertise in Airline Reservation Distribution Systems: Demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the industry-leading systems, Sabre or Amadeus, to efficiently manage group airline ticketing processes.
• Group Travel Coordination: Coordinate and manage group travel bookings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications and travel policies.
• Negotiation and Cost Optimization: Collaborate with airlines to negotiate group rates and optimize costs while maintaining high service standards.
• Client Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, providing timely updates on travel arrangements and addressing any concerns or changes.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all travel documentation is accurate and in compliance with airline regulations and agency policies.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to group travel, including but not limited to booking discrepancies, cancellations, and schedule changes.
• Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in airline policies, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance your expertise and contribute to the agency’s competitive edge.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to provide comprehensive support and deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to group travel, offering insights to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency.

Desired qualifications

• Working experience in a similar position, Group air tickets agent & Travel consultant
• Know-how of Global Distribution System on Airline reservation System (Sabre or Amadeus), ferry reservation (Linknoss or Certus), hotel reservation (Endtrada, Webhotelier).
• Excellent user of MS Office (Word, Excel)
• High level of professionalism and customer service skills.
• Team player, proactive, creative, able to multi-task and work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to successfully resolve customer issues.
• Proficient in English and Greek, both oral and written
